Edunet Foundation

Background

Most Indian children do not have access to technology, online resources, and mentoring which is a significant disadvantage for them in today’s connected world. When almost all work is done online, access to technology and online resources is very necessary for everyone. Especially now, during the COVID19 pandemic, when education has been halted for many young children, causing a break in their routines, and general disruption in their lives. Project Neev (“Neev” translates to “foundation” in English) empowers children across India with resources that are needed for effective and relevant learning.

Working methodology

At this time, schools are identified (or referred) by Edunet Foundation team members. In the long term, we intend to create a mechanism by which needy institutions can apply for the support online.

The steps involved in enabling each school are as follows:

Online resources that are available to participants

Live classes and sessions on a variety of topics and subjects

Online events

Future Skills Live platform

SkillsBuild platform

Open P-Tech platform

Khan Academy and similar free online resources

Team

Project Neev was conceptualized by Avni Singh who is an intern with Edunet Foundation. Avni is a high school student who passionately believes in this cause. The program is managed by the Edunet Foundation team that brings its capacity-building expertise to this program that can have a long term impact.
