Krunal Patel

Krunal’s journey from a farming family in Gujarat to the tech industry is one of determination and curiosity made possible through the SAP-led Code Unnati program. “I see a brighter future in IT,” Krunal shares. “It offers comfort and opportunity together.” Growing up assisting his father in agriculture, he learned problem-solving—qualities that would later define his approach to technology.

The program provided Krunal with comprehensive technical training through SAP’s learning ecosystem. He gained proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud for data visualization and business intelligence, and mastered SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for developing and integrating enterprise applications. These technical skills complemented his core training in Python, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Through comprehensive modules, he mastered Python, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and IoT—precisely the skills he needed to pursue his interest in AI, which wasn’t a core subject in his college curriculum. “The program started with basics of Python, then artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and IoT,” he recalls. “Now I’m more confident with these technologies.” This technical foundation led him to develop an innovative Bluetooth-based home automation system addressing Wi-Fi security concerns, which earned him an INR 1,04,000 grant from the Gujarat government’s Student Startup and Innovation Policy.

Beyond technical training, the program’s employability sessions transformed Krunal’s professional readiness. He learned resume building, interview techniques, and communication skills that directly helped him secure a software testing internship through the Code Unnati portal with Brain Payroll, a UK-based AI solutions company. The program’s mentorship and hands-on approach gave him the confidence to excel in technical interviews and adapt to professional environments. “The group discussions, resume building, and interview skills helped a lot,” he says. “I was confident during interviews because I prepared with their guidance.” Now with experience in API testing and regression testing and a package of 4 LPA, Krunal represents how targeted skill development programs can bridge agricultural backgrounds with technology careers, creating sustainable pathways for rural talent to enter the digital economy.
