Empowering a New Generation of Women in AI

The AI Careers for Women (AICW) program is a national initiative born from a critical need: while women make up nearly half of India’s graduates, they comprise less than 30% of its tech workforce. This program, led by Edunet in collaboration with Microsoft and SAP and supported by government partners like the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, directly addresses this gap. Its mission is to build an ecosystem that enables over 100,000 women in tech careers within five years, leveraging structured training, certifications, and mentorship to prepare them for meaningful opportunities in the evolving job market.

A Learning Model Built for Real-World AI Impact

The AICW program employs a practical, multi-layered approach to ensure participants are job-ready. The learning model integrates instructor-led sessions for foundational knowledge, self-paced activities for a deeper understanding, and capstone projects to reinforce training through real-world application. Students work on creating prototypes for real-world industry problems, immersing them in practical AI learning often delivered in a blended online and offline setting. The curriculum is designed not just to teach technical skills but to foster an innovative mindset.
