Empowering India's Vocational Youth

SkillSaksham is a powerful collaborative initiative between the Edunet Foundation, Microsoft, and the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Government of India . The program is strategically designed to enable, empower, and accelerate students from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) towards entry-level technology jobs .

Our Approach

The program’s design is structured around a dual-track model to effectively serve different segments of the vocational education ecosystem. The NSTI model offers a comprehensive 320-hour intensive training program for ITI diploma holders, focusing on advanced skill development in high-demand areas like AI, Cybersecurity, and Power BI, complemented by capstone projects. The ITI model provides a more accessible pathway for currently enrolled students through 55 hours of modular, instructor-led sessions that deliver Digital and Employable skills.

Sustainability built into scale

SkillSaksham has engineered a fundamental shift in vocational education by creating a structural bridge between institutional learning and industry requirements. The program’s impact lies in its ability to systematically align curriculum with real-world job roles, transforming traditional training into a demand-driven pipeline for talent. This approach has fostered a culture of continuous industry-academia collaboration, ensuring that training remains relevant and responsive.
