H.S. Jamadagni is a Professor in the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering (DESE, formerly Centre for Electronics Design and Technology, CEDT), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. He received Masters and PhD degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IISc. He was the chairman of DESE during 1996 â€“ 2009. He teaches in the areas of embedded systems, communication networks, wireless sensor networks, and VLSI design. His current research work is in application of DSP in communication systems, application of IT in health care, conservation and development, as well as computing architectures for high-speed wireless networks. He has active and vibrant collaboration with several Industries including Intel, TI, Boeing, Xilinx, and Freescale and educational institutions such as EPFL, Switzerland. He has many publications in areas of his work.
Nagesh Singh is a serial entrepreneur in the area of education and healthcare. He started out in the corporate sector and worked with companies like Fujitsu, HCL, Hughes India and Gilat Satellite Networks Israel before starting his first venture in 2005 that dealt with delivery of online degree and certificate programs from top universities in the US. His second venture dealt with experiential education for healthcare professionals in alliance with INHL, an affiliate of Harvard Medical (now Partners). Courses were offered via linked distance learning classrooms with practical sessions in leading hospitals across South Asia, the Middle East and the US.
He leads FICE Education that delivers technology leadership programs for students in alliance with top global technology companies and universities. He also leads Edunet Foundation that delivers technical skilling and entrepreneurship programs to students around India. He lives in Gurgaon, India.
